KANSAS CITY WEEKEND EVENTS | Independence Day Edition

There are so many ways to celebrate July 4th in Kansas City!  With displays from the 1st to the 8th, you can spread out your spirit of freedom by attending several festivals.

JULY 1

Booms and Blooms
July 1 @ 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Powell Gardens

Fireworks, Flowers and Fun
Tour the newest “Gardens of Myth” exhibition, cool off in the fountain and enjoy family-friendly games and food from vendors while waiting for the fireworks to start.  Bring a blanket and enjoy the fireworks display, set to the sounds of the Lee’s Summit Symphony.  
Adults $12, Children (ages 5-12) $5, Children 4 and under FREE
Parking $5
Tickets available online.
Event will be rescheduled to July 2nd in event of rain.

Worlds of Fun
July 1 - 4th @ 10:00 PM
Enjoy the WOF fireworks display with park admission.  Purchase tickets online.  
One day, Two day and after 4PM ticket options available. 

Spirit of America Celebration
Raymore Parks and Recreation (227 Municipal Circle, Raymore, Missouri)
July 1 @ 4:00 PM, - 10:00 PM
Admission is FREE
Food trucks including: KC Pinoy, American Fusion, Mad Man’s KC BBQ and Kona Ice of West Jackson County.

Church park will open at 5:00, Dinner at 6:00 and fireworks begin at 9:00.

Parking free before 7:00 PM, $1 after 7:00 PM (Field opens at 5:30)

JULY 2

HUGE Fireworks - Independence Day Celebration 
July 2 @ 6:00 PM, Fireworks @ 9:15 PM, World Revival Church (9900 View High Drive, Kansas City, Missouri)
Admission is FREE
Waterslides, bounce houses, indoor and outdoor volleyball and horseshoes.  Hot dogs, nachos and snow cones.

JULY 3

Liberty 4th Fest
July 3 @ 5:30 PM - 10:30 PM, Fountain Bluff Sports Complex, Liberty, Missouri
Food trucks, inflatable bounce houses and obstacle courses, caricature artists, balloon artists and more! 
Family Activities: 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.

American Floyd Concert (The Great American Pink Floyd Tribute Band) concert: 8 - 10 p.m,

Legacy Blast Fireworks Extravaganza:  Lee's Summit
July 3, Gates open @ 6:00 PM, Fireworks@ 9:30, Legacy Park Community Center(901 NE Bluestem Dr., Lee’s Summit, Missouri)
Food vendors, face painting, bounce house, balloon artists, fireworks!
Admission is Free.


JULY 4

July 4 @ 4:00PM - 10:00PM, Berkley Riverfront Park
Two stages of music, food vendors, drinks, and the largest fireworks show in the Midwest.
Admission is $5, available for purchase at the gate (cash only).  Children under 12 are FREE.
Parking $10. Shuttles available.

June 29th - July 4th
Carnival, Parades, Games, Food Trucks, Music and Fireworks
Parade on the 4th at 10:00 starting at 63rd Street and Highway 9, ending in Historic Downtown Markville.
Firework Display on the 4th starting at 9:30.

Gladstone Independence Day Celebration
July 4th @ 7:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Oak Grove Park (NE 76th St. and N. Troost, Gladstone, Missouri)
Toni Gates Ensemble performing at 7:00, followed by North Star Community Band and fireworks.  
Admission is Free.
Parking at Oak Park Hill School

Smithville Lake Dam Fireworks Display
July 4th @ Dusk, Smith's Fork Park (1601 DD Highway, Smithville, Missouri)
Fireworks will be launched from the north area of the dam, visible from the marina or Smith's Fork Park.

July 4th @ 9:00 PM, Platte Ridge Park (17130 371 Highway, Platte City, Missouri)

Shuttle bus available at Harrel Ferrel Parking Lot to Platte Ridge Park starting at 8:00.
Admission is Free.

Red, White and Blue Springs
July 4th, Fireworks @ 9:45, Blue Springs High School Peve Stadium (2000 NW Ashton Drive Blue Springs, Missouri)
Gates open at 6:30 PM.  Live music from Dustin Collins with 6 Degrees West at 7:30.  Fireworks at 9:45.
Admission is Free.

July 4th @ 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Corporate Woods (8717 W. 110th Street, Overland Park, Kansas)
Music, activities for the kids, food vendors and Fireworks!  Bring chairs or blankets (no tents or canopies).
Live music begins at 5:00.  Fireworks begin at approximately 9:30.
Admission is FREE.  Parking is FREE.
If rained out, fireworks display will be on July 5th at 9:30.

Olathe Fireworks Show
July 4th @ 9:45 PM - 10:30 PM, College Boulevard Activity Center (11031 S. Valley Parkway, Olathe, Kansas)
Parking available at Olathe Northwest High School, Meadow Lane Elementary and College Boulevard Activity Center.
Hosted by the City of Olathe

City of Leawood Fireworks
July 4th, Gates open @ 5:00 PM, Fireworks at 9:45PM, Leawood City Park
Kids activities, food vendors, music by Four Fried Chickens and a Coke from 7:30 - 9:30, fireworks!
Admission is Free.  Activity bands for children under 14 $5.  Cash only.
Free shuttle buses will be running from the parking lots along the west side of Tomahawk Creek Parkway to City Park starting at 10:00am. 


JULY 8

Kearney Fireworks Celebration  (Rescheduled from July 3rd)
July 8th @ 7:00 PM, Kearney Amphitheater
Concert begins at 7:30 PM, Fireworks begin at 9:30.  Tune into 96.9 FM for fireworks music.
Free Admission and Parking
Concessions Available for Purchase.  Bring Lawn Chairs and/or Blankets.
