Online registration is closed, but you may register in person on Saturday from 5:00PM -7:00PM at Adam's Mark Hotel, or on Sunday from 7:00AM - 8:15AM at Arrowhead Stadium near the Hy-Vee Gate (parking Lot M).  Registration for the 5K is $40 for adults and $30 for children, and for the 1-Mile is $20 for adult and $15 for children.  You may also choose to donate by sponsoring an individual or group.

5th Annual BIGGSteps 5K, 10K, Family Fun Run, and Kids' Dash
Sunday, August 13th @ 8:15AM, KU Edwards Campus (Overland Park, Kansas)
This course is part run trail and part road race, winding around the KU Edwards Campus and ending on Indian Creek Trail.  There will also be a live band, face painting and appearances by local mascots.
Proceeds support the Sean D Biggs Memorial foundation, which "raises awareness of the causes of prevention of cancer; assists those affected by cancer; and supports cancer research."
Online registration for the event has ended, but you may register at the event from 7:00AM - 8:00AM.  Registration for kids' races are $10 for children under 10, the Family Fun Walk/Run is $25, $35 for the 5K and $45 for the 10K.

Sunday, August 13th @ 11:30AM, Patrick's Bar and no Grill
This is my type of running event.  You read that right...a .1K around the parking lot!  Registration at the event, a $35 donation to support KC Hospice.  Event includes an auction and raffle.

Nelson-Atkins Museum Community Yoga Class
Saturday, August 12th @ 6:30PM - 7:30PM, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
Hosted by Urban Lights Yoga.  Meet at the East Sculpture Terrace.  Event is free with a $5 suggested donation.  You may join MYKC for a monthly contribution of $30  and receive unlimited yoga for all classes.  All proceeds from this class go towards the Teacher Training Scholarship Fund.

The Kansas City Zoo
Enjoy discounted tickets at the zoo this weekend.  All guests can take advantage of admission for the price of a child for $11.50, or for $6 for residents of Jackson and Clay counties.

Dog Days of Shopping
Saturday, August 12th, The Village at Briarcliff

Treat our furry friends to a day of shopping at The Village at Briarcliff in support of NAWS - Northland Animal Welfare Society.  All sizes and breeds are welcome in participating shops.
10% of sales from select stores will support this local nonprofit, dedicated to reducing the number of unwanted animals in the community.  Stop in for $25 microchipping, get a caricature drawn of your pup, or stop into Bar K Dog Bar for drinks for you and your pets.


Calligraphy Class
